I just made this oreo cookie cheesecake. They're pretty easy to make and taste very yummy. My question is this, why do my cheesecakes always crack down the middle? Am I not cooking them long enough? Too long? Any ideas?

  1. I think I remember hearing to put the cheesecake in a larger pan with water in it. So it's in the regular cheesecake pan, but then you put that into a larger pan with water...something like that. Google it and see what it says. I have no cheesecake baking experience. It looks good though! You should start a baking blog.

  4. I never saw a cheesecake without a crack in the top unless your sister or Bill Thompson made it. I always cover mine up with a little sour cream but don't know about an oreo cookie one. Love, Mom

  5. believe it or not, i think that is the way you tell that a cheesecake is done--it cracks down the middle, slightly. you might want to shave off a few minutes of cooking time, so the crack isn't as large? looks delish!
