This morning I took the kids over to my neighbor's house for a "messy" play date. My neighbor Misty is super nice and very creative with her kids. She invited us to come over so the kids could play in their backyard with water, mud, flour, cornmeal, marshmallows, froot loops and bubbles! I thought they would love it. Emma Mae actually did. She got in there and made a mess with Misty's boys. Jake, on the other hand, wanted to stay inside and play with toys or just hang out in the hammock in the backyard. Seems he doesn't like to get dirty anymore. I suppose I should be thankful for that.
Misty has two beautiful boys. Maybe Emma will marry one of them someday...
By the end of the morning, Emma and Nicholas had stripped down to their underwear and were busy covering each other in cornmeal and flour. Emma Mae had to come home and go directly into the bathtub. Jake, however, came home perfectly clean.
That looks like fun for the kids. What a great neighbor to have
