Please, I'm begging you...

Here's the deal. I love Rick Springfield. I know it. Mike knows it. You know it. It may seem silly to everyone else out there but I really have this dream of meeting him before I die. The sooner the better. I have now sat through two different Oprah shows where I got to watch others like me be surprised by a visit from him. Don't get me wrong here. I'm happy for them. But I always sit there thinking oh my gosh why can't that be me? On her last show Rick actually showed up and invited these two forty something ladies to go on his cruise in November. How I covet them and their cruise tickets. The only thing standing in my way of going on that cruise is about $2000 and someone to come babysit for a week while I'm gone. In short, never gonna happen.

However, I believe in my heart of hearts that I might be able to meet him in person or even receive a telephone call from him someday. That's where you come in. I'm just gonna put it out there that I need help from my friends and family to help achieve this dream for my fortieth birthday. Gosh, it hurts to say that. I can't believe I'll be turning 40 in January. It would be a little bit easier to swallow if I wasn't married to a 28 year old.

Anyway, I know someone out there has the where-with-all, gumption, fortitude etc. to find a way to get Rick to come to my house for my birthday party with his guitar in hand. Or, maybe just to get on his cell phone and call my house with his guitar in hand. What's in it for you, you ask? Well, my undying love and affection. And maybe $100 cash money. I know Rick's time and talent are worth way more than that but things are tight over here at Little Mama headquarters. So, stop reading and go get busy! I know you can do it!

  1. I so wish I could afford to send you on that cruise! But then I'd have to go with you cuz I can't let you go alone. We are trying to decide if we can even afford to buy a Wii with a few games right now, so I think the cruise is out! But I am sending my best wishes in hopes that Rick reads your blog and at least sings happy birthday to you! :)
